Lighting the path toward hope through

mental health counseling focused on healing after loss.

Grief
Grieving can feel like an overwhelming emotional experience, often characterized by deep sadness, confusion, anger and even guilt. Navigating your daily life may be challenging because grief can manifest physically and emotionally, impacting your relationships, work and overall well-being. You may feel isolated in your pain, struggling to communicate your feelings to friends and family who may not fully understand what you are going through. Seeking help through grief counseling can provide a supportive environment where you can openly express your feelings without judgment. I can offer tools to cope with the complex emotions of grief, helping you find meaning in your loss, and encourage the use of healthy coping strategies. Additionally, you may be wondering if anyone else has felt the way you are feeling.
I'm here to gently guide you towards resilience and growth. Your days will begin to feel lighter. Having someone walk alongside you through this dark tunnel of sadness and loss who gets it; this is a lifeline. You don't have to explain why you haven't felt like leaving your home or socializing. Laughing and enjoying yourself may feel awkward and uncomfortable right now. This is normal. Gradually, you will find your new normal with my support.
About Me
My passion is in helping people navigate life-changing grief from the death of a loved one through personalized counseling. Grief can leave us feeling isolated with physical pain and a sense of emptiness, loss of hope and vision for our futures. I can help you through this journey of grief with tools that will honor the memory of your loved one and light the path toward a future with more joy. You will find a way to integrate this loss into your life and find meaning again. As a bereaved parent, I know this journey.

Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling

Specializing in grief therapy, I can provide the specific tools you need to process your loss (of any type) and find your new normal. I can help you partner with your brain to better cope. The way our brains process a traumatic event has to do with our past experiences. We can explore that impact and use relevant tools to help you move from survival mode to thriving again. I can guide you toward making small changes that will increase positive thoughts and feelings.

I currently accept many insurances, please click on the link: Schedule Appt to see if I'm in network. If I'm considered out of network, I can provide you with a Super Bill that you can provide to your insurance company for reimbursement.
My rate is $150 for a 50 minute session for individual counseling. This is a great option for someone who wants to be seen confidentially (without a diagnosis given to insurance company). I also have a sliding scale.
I am licensed in Washington and Idaho as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I can see clients in-person on Wednesdays and Thursdays at my local office in Hayden, Idaho and on Tuesdays via telehealth.
